Babu III is a 26' catamaran fishing machine licensed by the USCG passengers. The boat is powered by twin 140 h.p. engines allowing her to run at 40 MPH in 4' seas. She has a clean enclosed head, and her console is enclosed to protect you from the weather.

Babu's electronics includes Radar, two VHF radios, CB Radio, two GPS, Plotter, two Fishfinders, and an autopilot.

Outriggers and downriggers are frequently used when trolling. Penn, Fin-Nor and Shimano reels are employed exclusively featuring SS series and bait runner spinning reels for light tackle usage and International, GTI, Senator series, and levelmatic reels for trolling. All spinning equipment is spooled with P-line copolymer spectra line, and the trolling equipment line varies from monofilament to wire to lead core. The reels are mounted on Uglystick spinning rods and custom trolling, Penn Slammer and Senator conventional rods. We also cater to light tackle enthusiasts.


Captain John Wilkinson was first licensed by the United States Coast Guard as a 6 pack uninspected vessel near coastal operator in 1973. Since then he has upgraded his license, and now holds a 100-ton inspected vessel near coastal master license. Capt. John has been fishing and running powerboats since the 1950's, and has been charter fishing for over 35 years.
