Dolphin or Mahi-Mahi come into the waters off New Jersey every summer to give anglers an amazing angling experience.

Mahi-Mahi are typically caught while trolling.  There is no little “tap tap” on the line, it’s more like “zzzzzzzzzzz” as you hear your reel scream as this fish strips off line.

The Mahi-Mahi we catch run in the 20 lb range with occasional fish up to 30-40 lbs.

The delicate meat of the Mahi-Mahi is coveted world wide.  Many of the finest restaurants serve Mahi-Mahi on a regular basis.   It is excellent grilled, baked or fried and also makes amazing ceviche.
